In the Crafty Cupboard we now have pom-pom bee making kits…. lets not forget that, while we are all home the bees are still out working!
In the last few weeks before lockdown the Stalbridge goes Wild! Team have been preparing the ground and sowing wildflower seeds in locations around Stalbridge and the first few shoots are starting to show!
So let’s help the bees get to work!
In the Crafty Cupboard you will find pom-pom bee making kits and garden sticks. Then simply follow the instructions below and place your bee at one of the sites below……
This will help to liven up the wildflower beds whilst the flowers come through; and help attract the bees to do their business of pollenating!
Whilst wonderful for us to look at they also have an important job to do; they will be helping to feed bees, butterflies and other insects that support our ecosystem and in feeding them the plants will also thrive and multiply…..
Once you have made your bee pop out for your exercise walk and place it in one of the locations listed here to attract the bees and let them know where the flowers are!
- Jarvis Way [eastern end on the grass verges; western end on the field side]
- the Pound [between both posts]
- around the Stalbridge signs entering the village [WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT PLACE YOUR BEES HERE UNLESS YOU ARE WITH AN ADULT WHO CAN HELP YOU LOOK OUT FOR TRAFFIC]
