On the 25th of July, in place of our ,sadly, postponed to next yearGUGGGUITARFEST we held our first gig@thegugg.

Beginning with a kids disco for an hour the stage was then given over to our Open Mikers, regulars from Thursday’s PIZZA NIGHT slots and newcomers too. The audience were required to stay in their social bubbles when onsite and issued with instructions and the means to stay safe. Performers included: Nick Coleman, Siska Redman, Cathey Fisher, Danielle Sharop, Tom Forrest, Oscar Alexander, Shawn Keys, Mariono Pionio, Bella Beneyand Le Bandwagon…

A great day was not dampened by the torrential rain [oh to be in England…] and everyone agreed that another would be fab……we’re working on it!

The fabulous and soulful Julie Dunn [opens in new window] will be joining us in the Milking Parlour on the 14th of March at 7.30.

The evening’s performance will be based around her collection ‘Women in Jazz’  – an exploration of some of the best and most iconic of female jazz-influenced artists together with a handful of self-penned compositions… from evocative tunes popularized by the unsurpassable Ella Fitzgerald to the soulful gospel of Aretha Franklin & more….

Tickets £10 in advance or £12 on the door. Call the gallery on 01963 363456 or use the contact form below.

“I’ve been in love with music and particularly singing for as long as I can remember. My childhood was surrounded with the sounds of the best jazz” Julie Dunn.

An amazing evening of entertainment was enjoyed by all who cosied into the Milking Parlour on Saturday 30 November for ‘Me, Myself and Icons’ with Jo Burt and his backing crew.

The audience were given an insight into his weird and wonderful experiences of a life in entertainment ‘Freddie Mercury ate my piano…’ that kind of thing….

The gig ended spectacularly with a kinda Troggs reunion when Colin Fletcher joined Jo, Antonia and Kathy on stage for a few unforgettable numbers.
