How to make The Three men of unsure profession with lovely gifts for Jesus….
Okey dokey, off to the Crafty Cupboard with you….or maybe scavenge around the house….
By now you know the drill, clothe your bottles, here are mine before their heads to give you a few ideas….
The main thing about these guys is their gifts [ooops sorry; there I go again…] For the Myrrh we will need a small container [like a matchbox or this small jam jar] Cover the box/jar in glue and roll it in bling! Then just leave it to dry [plenty of bling in the Cupboard]
For the Frankincense the clue is in the name. The incense would traditionally have been burnt in an ornate lamp that was swung about. Find a small bottle, maybe an empty spice jar or make-up container. Cover it with glue again and bling it up. You will need to attach a string or chain to its neck so that Gaspar can swing it….
For the Gold that Melchior brings it is likely that the gift that he gave would have been in the form of jewellery so hunt around for some junk jewels [don’t swipe mum’s real stuff] and simply use that. If you cannot find any there is a little in the Crafty Cupboard…
Hey Presto! Your men of unknown profession are ready to worship and give….
So here we are so far… the full set will be on view in the Post Office window on Stalbridge High Street from this weekend…. Come take a peek…. HAVE FUN!
