Calling all Dorset/Somerset/Wiltshire Artists: Life Drawing Session
Wednesday August 26th 2020 16.00-18.30
Socially-distanced live life drawing in our covered outdoor space.
This is a stand-alone event, a chance to meet up with other artists and draw in a socially-distanced setting with a live life model.
The session will consist of a mixture of shorter poses (1min-20min) during the first hour, followed by a 15-minute tea/biscuit break during which the artists can circulate in a one-way system to peruse the drawings and chat with the venue host, life model and each other, then a single long pose for the second hour.
The life model is Natasha, who will be 37 weeks pregnant (8.5 months) at the end of August. An experienced life model and artist herself, Natasha offers a varied range of elegant, classic poses that celebrate the natural curves, form and flow of her pregnancy.
This is an untutored life drawing session, however constructive criticism is available and we encourage all artists to share their work during the break. Beginners are very welcome: we offer a prompt sheet of ideas to help those new to life drawing to approach the session; this will be in the form of a print-at-home pdf with simple materials list and techniques to try on the day.
Tables/easels and chairs will be provided, plus some basic materials and paper will be available for purchase at the event if required. Sanitising stations will also be available throughout the venue.
Places are limited; book now to avoid disappointment! You can book your tickets here
