Our textile and craft tutors, Jenni Richards and Alison Nash, have between them a wealth of experience in the full spectrum of craft disciplines.
A full list of courses will follow shortly, as we see how our spaces here at the gugg manage under the lockdown easing.
Our textile loft can comfortably accommodate 6 students and a tutor so, to start us back on course [excuse the pun] we will be beginning with a general sewing and embroidery class:
An Introduction to all things Sewing!
Thursday mornings between 10 and 12 with Jenni, an introduction to all things sewing! Plus advice for more experienced workers on how to progress their ideas and skills.
‘Sew and Yarn’
Sessions on Wednesday evenings with Jenni, an informal session to get us all talking and creating together again.
A crafting circle
On Monday mornings between 10 and 12 with Annie, looking at ways in which the little things we craft can have a big impact upon our living environment and that of others, emphasis will be placed on upcyscling, sustainability and making things look great!
A brooch making day workshop with Alison:
This is a great introduction to bead embroidery.
The fee includes everything you need to make the brooch, including needle, thread, and glue.
This is suitable for complete beginners as no beading experience is needed.
The design is printed on fabric for you to bead onto.

9cm (3½in) tall.
Tuesday 7th September, 10am to 3.30pm £65, or
Saturday 18th September, 10am to 3.30pm £65
There will be lots of inspirational pieces for you to look at, to show what else can be done with this technique.
