“Via these lessons l wish to present art in a new way that engages people on different levels.
This course is designed for both beginners and those who lead busy lives. Thus we always start with short moment of calm reflection.
I teach a selection of drawing and painting techniques that are both skill based and therapeutic. the learning is enhanced via demonstrations on how to apply new techniques before putting the skills into practice, through this process students find new ways of working that are both fun and enlightening.
I aim to ignite the joy of creating art; enabling students to find their own creative voice. To take away the fear of criticism or doing art in a wrong way. Empowering people to feel uplifted, to take their new skills and explore possibilities, I wish to inspire my students to further engage in arts and crafts; making art a new found joy and enabling students to see the world differently, mindfully.
The end result is that, having learnt through exploring possibilities, students can then go on confidently initiating their own projects. I look for my students individual, hidden talents and interests then encourage them to bloom.
As they become more advanced, they will be encouraged to reflect, relax and build on their skills in order to develop their artist’s voice as well as how to present finished work” Alison.
